The prestigious final for the world’s top dressage riders, previously held in Stockholm as the Top Ten Final, will move to Frankfurt, Germany, starting December 17-21, 2025. The event, now called the International Festhallen Reitturnier, will expand the field from 10 to 12 riders and increase the prize money to €300,000 (US$347,000). Initiated by the International dressage Riders Club led by German star Isabell Werth and supported by the Circle of Excellence, the event promises a high-level competition in the unique festive atmosphere of Frankfurt’s Christmas hall. The competition will also feature finals for young dressage horses in the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal and Louisdor Prize.
The top 12 riders qualified as of November 30 include notable names such as Justin Verboomen, Isabell Werth, Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour, and Carl Hester. The Grand Prix is set for December 19, with the final Freestyle on December 21. Past winners of the Top Ten Final include Laudrup-Dufour, Jessica von Bredow-Werndl, and Werth, highlighting the event’s elite status in the dressage world.
