Her performance in the Jersey Girl earned her a career-high 90 Beyer Speed Figure, showcasing her continued improvement.
Ridden by Irad Ortiz, Jr., Indy Bay initially stalked the pace set by Long Neck Paula before making her move in the final stretch. Despite a strong challenge from Beauty Reigns and Paula’s a Star, Indy Bay managed to edge out Long Neck Paula by a head, finishing the race in a time of 1:09.70. Ortiz praised Indy Bay’s sharpness and determination, highlighting her ability to fight for the lead in the closing moments.
Looking ahead, Indy Bay’s connections plan to target the Grade 3 Victory Ride and the prestigious Grade 1 Test at Saratoga. With her recent success and a growing reputation, Indy Bay has established herself as a promising contender in the racing circuit, earning $82,500 for her Jersey Girl win.
