The final 2025 OwnerView webinar, held on December 9 and hosted by The Jockey Club and the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association, focused on industrywide initiatives supporting individuals in need within horse racing. The panel featured leaders from key organizations including The Jockey Club Safety Net Foundation, stable Recovery, the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (PDJF), and the Race Track Chaplaincy of America (RTCA). Each organization provides vital assistance—financial aid, recovery programs, and spiritual support—to a broad range of racing community members, from jockeys to farm workers, emphasizing the industry’s strong network of care.
Panelists highlighted their collaborative efforts and the unique level of support within the horse racing industry, especially during challenging times like the holidays. The discussion underscored the extensive reach and impact of these programs, with stable Recovery noting applications from nearly all U.S. states and multiple countries, and PDJF providing monthly stipends to disabled jockeys. The webinar replay is available online, and details for the 2026 conference series will be announced soon.
