Indian Army Rescues Yatri from Haryana During Amarnath Yatra in Kashmir

During the ongoing Amarnath Yatra in the Kashmir Himalayas, the Indian Army successfully rescued a 48-year-old yatri named Kuldip from Rohtak, Haryana, who experienced sudden restlessness near Kali Mata Mandir. An alert Army patrol promptly provided oxygen and a safe resting place, ensuring his recovery before he resumed the pilgrimage. This incident highlights the Army’s dedication to public welfare and readiness to assist civilians beyond their regular duties.

The Amarnath Yatra 2025, which started on July 3 and will conclude on August 9, has seen over 2.34 lakh pilgrims visit the Amarnath cave as of mid-July. The event is being conducted under heightened security following a deadly terror attack in April at Pahalgam, which led to retaliatory strikes by Indian forces and a brief conflict with Pakistan, later de-escalated by a ceasefire announcement.
