Ijsbrand Chardon praised the high level of competition and the course design at the London International Horse Show, highlighting the close margins and increasing speed among top drivers. Belgian Dries Degrieck consistently secured second place despite some costly mistakes, while Bram Chardon, Ijsbrand’s son, showed promising form by finishing third and expressed satisfaction with his team’s pace despite a driving error. The event featured strong performances from other competitors like Anna Mareike Meier and Glenn Geerts, with British wild card Daniel Naprous appreciating the opportunity to compete against the sport’s elite.
Following the event, Ijsbrand moved up to second in the series standings, Dries to third, and Bram entered contention for the final in Bordeaux, where only six places remain available. The competition remains fierce as drivers prepare for the upcoming legs in Mechelen and Leipzig, with course designer Michael Mayer receiving praise for creating a challenging yet enjoyable stage that pushed both horses and drivers to excel.
