IFHA to Host 59th International Conference in Paris Focusing on Racing Betting and Marketing

The International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA) will host its 59th International Conference of Horseracing Authorities on October 6 in Paris, focusing on the past year’s achievements and future challenges in the industry. Moderated by sports presenter Rishi Persad, the conference will emphasize racing betting—both legal and illegal markets—marketing, and customer experience. Key sessions include discussions on evolving wagering trends, technological impacts, and the growth of illegal betting, featuring industry leaders such as Tony Allevato, Felicity Barnard, and Martin Purbrick. A keynote by Ben Cleminson, CEO of Square in the Air, will highlight innovation in sports marketing.

The event will also address regulatory challenges and the welfare of equine athletes, with insights from global racing authorities and anti-corruption experts. Additionally, the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia will preview the upcoming 41st Asian Racing Conference scheduled for February 2026 in Riyadh. The conference will be accessible via live video stream on the IFHA website, with replays and presentations available afterward.
