The Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) in Ann Arbor, Michigan, has rescued over 120 animals from a woman with a long history of animal cruelty convictions. The animals, including dogs, cats, horses, ponies, goats, reptiles, and more, were seized on September 5 after being found in poor health and unsafe conditions. The woman faces multiple felony charges and has previously had animals seized from her, including 40 horses. She allegedly exploited animals through businesses like petting zoos and pony rides, which masked their suffering.
HSHV is currently providing care for the rescued animals and expects many to be available for adoption soon. The organization is seeking foster homes, volunteers, and donations to support the care of the large number of animals now housed at their facility. Interested individuals can sign up for adoption notifications and contribute to the rescue efforts through HSHV’s website.
