Horseshoe Indianapolis Opens Heaven and Horseshoes Worship and Community Center for Backstretch Workers

The newly opened Heaven and Horseshoes community center at Horseshoe Indianapolis represents a successful collaboration between horsemen, track management, and regulators, serving as a model for racetrack-connected facilities. Funded by Caesars Entertainment with a $1.4 million capital investment and land donation, the nearly 7,000-square-foot center includes a chapel, meeting rooms, offices, and recreational facilities like a soccer field and basketball court. It aims to support backstretch workers year-round with social, educational, and health programs, reflecting the track’s commitment to its horsemen community and enhancing the overall racing environment.

This initiative highlights the strong partnership between the Indiana HBPA, Quarter Horse Racing Association of Indiana, and Horseshoe Indianapolis, which has contributed to significant growth in racing handle and improved facilities, including winter training barns and dormitories. Industry leaders emphasize that such cooperation is essential for the future success of horse racing, with the community center serving as a tangible example of how trust and teamwork can foster a thriving racing industry in Indiana.
