Sarah Yorke, a 37-year-old horse rider, tragically died after falling at the third fence during the Aston-le-Walls Horse Trials eventing competition in Northamptonshire. Despite efforts by medical professionals, she could not be saved. Her horse, MGH HERA, was unharmed and returned safely to the stables. Following the incident, all competition scheduled for the following day was canceled.
