Horse and Pony Club Tack Auction Raises Over $8,000 for Youth Programs and Facility Improvements

At the annual Horse and Pony Club Tack Auction, community members enthusiastically bid on items like a brush for $55 and a peanut butter pie for $135, with all proceeds benefiting the club’s youth programs. The fundraiser, now in its fourth year, supports various club needs such as food during the fair, new hitching posts, arena improvements, and equipment maintenance. Club President Dawson Bradbury and leader Jesse Johnson highlighted the event’s success, noting a significant increase in meals served and funds raised compared to previous years.

The event also featured a popular fish fry drive-through, which drew a large turnout and contributed to the club’s growing financial support. Johnson expressed gratitude for community backing, emphasizing that funds help sustain awards, senior gifts, and facility enhancements. The Horse and Pony Club continues to engage the community with upcoming shows, including the West Central Indiana Buckle Series scheduled for late June and August at the Clay County Fairgrounds.
