Hope Farm Animal Sanctuary: Rescuing and Caring for Dozens of Abused and Abandoned Animals in Coventry

Lisa Dostie has dedicated her life to rescuing and caring for abandoned and abused animals, a passion inspired by her grandmother and mother. Since rescuing her first horses in 2011, she has expanded her efforts to care for a diverse group of 62 animals at Hope Farm Animal Sanctuary, including horses, cats, dogs, and farm animals. Many rescued animals find forever homes if healthy and socialized, while those with trauma or health issues remain at the sanctuary. Notable rescues include Ollie, a calf saved from near death who now thrives, and a feral cat colony whose kittens were rehomed.

Hope Farm became a nonprofit three years ago, enabling Dostie and her team, including dedicated volunteers like Marysal Swift, to organize fundraising events such as craft fairs to support the sanctuary’s needs. Despite these efforts, the sanctuary continues to seek donations of money, supplies, and volunteers to sustain and expand their rescue work. Dostie welcomes community involvement and encourages people to visit or join through their website to help provide lifelong care and love to neglected animals.
