Holme-next-the-Sea, a village in Norfolk, has been ranked as the seventh best location in the UK for horse-friendly staycations. The area is praised for its flat beach riding with stunning views, suitable for riders of all confidence levels, and offers various options for overnight stabling.
The ranking was compiled by Harry Hall, with managing director Liz Hopper highlighting the guide’s aim to inspire equestrians to explore new destinations confidently, even in winter. The top spot went to the New Forest in Hampshire, followed by Escrick Park Estate in Yorkshire and the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset.
