A new large-scale housing project has been proposed in the unincorporated Higuera Highlands area of Santa Clara County, featuring 400 single-family homes and 100 accessory dwelling units (ADUs). Developed by the Ginsberg and Kinion Trust, the community is designed with a horseback riding focus, including extensive amenities such as over 40,000 square feet of riding arenas, stables, horse trails connecting to Joseph D Grant County Park, an event center, community center, and retail spaces. The project aims to create a self-sufficient neighborhood with shared open spaces and facilities supporting an equestrian lifestyle.
The project is currently under review, with the tentative map and grading approval documents submitted but not yet publicly available. Moving forward will require significant infrastructure investments to support the 500 new homes planned. The development’s relatively isolated location necessitates comprehensive planning to ensure the community’s viability and connectivity.
