Hiedi K. Heikkila, 50, of Lena, Wisconsin, passed away on October 17, 2025. Born in Traverse City, Michigan, she graduated from Chassell High School in 1993 and pursued a career as a massage therapist, earning credentials from Utah College of Massage Therapy in 1996. She later obtained a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in environmental science from Michigan Tech in 2006. Hiedi married Don Heikkila in 2012 and dedicated much of her life to raising their two children while working as a massage therapist and running her own business. She had a deep love for animals, especially horses, and enjoyed outdoor activities such as trail riding, hiking, and camping.
Throughout her life, Hiedi lived in various states including Michigan, Utah, New York, Hawaii, and finally Wisconsin, where she established her family roots. She was also a talented musician, having played the trumpet in high school and toured Europe with a youth music group. Hiedi is survived by her husband, children, father, siblings, and extended family, and was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents. A memorial gathering and service will be held in Lena, Wisconsin, to honor her memory.
