The Helsinki International Horse Show is making a grand return to the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre in 2026 after a 30-year hiatus. Scheduled from February 26 to March 1, the four-day event will feature a World Cup show jumping qualifier, attracting the world’s top riders and over 450 horses competing for €530,000 in prize money. The venue has been significantly upgraded with movable grandstands and modern facilities, transforming it into a versatile international sports arena capable of hosting large-scale events. This marks a historic moment as the event returns to its original location, promising an expanded program that includes competitions, exhibitions, and family-friendly activities.
The event is expected to have a substantial impact on Helsinki’s local economy and tourism, drawing thousands of spectators worldwide. It also emphasizes inclusivity by providing tickets to 5,000 low-income families. Beyond elite equestrian sport, the show offers interactive exhibits and opportunities to meet riders and horses, making it a unique experience for both enthusiasts and families. The 2026 edition aims to elevate Finland’s equestrian scene, combining world-class competition with engaging, accessible entertainment for all attendees.
