Hattie Henderson Represents Cambria County at World Western Dressage Championships

Hattie Henderson, an experienced horsewoman and riding instructor from Ebensburg, Pennsylvania, is competing at the World Western dressage Championships in Guthrie, Oklahoma, riding her mare Lady Impulsified. Despite being bucked off the horse on the day she purchased her, Henderson saw potential in Lady Impulsified and trained her for western dressage, a discipline that blends classical dressage with the heritage of North American cowboy horsemanship. Henderson, who owns Bailey Hill Farms with her husband and teaches about 40 kids weekly, is believed to be the first from Cambria County to compete at this prestigious event.

Beyond competing, Henderson is deeply committed to fostering local youth involvement in horses through the 4-H program, providing training and coaching to many young riders. Even as she prepares for the five-day competition, Henderson prioritizes supporting her 4-H students at district events, demonstrating her dedication to teaching and community impact alongside her personal equestrian pursuits.
