Hattie Henderson Represents Cambria County at World Western Dressage Championships

Hattie Henderson, an experienced horsewoman and riding instructor from Ebensburg, Pennsylvania, is competing at the World Western dressage Championships in Guthrie, Oklahoma, riding her horse Lady Impulsified. Despite being bucked off the mare on the day of purchase, Henderson saw potential in Lady Impulsified and trained her for western dressage, a discipline blending classical dressage with Western riding traditions. Henderson, who runs Bailey Hill Farms with her husband and teaches about 40 kids weekly, is believed to be the first Cambria County resident to compete at this prestigious event, demonstrating perseverance and skill.

Beyond competing, Henderson is deeply committed to fostering local youth involvement in horses through the 4-H program, providing training and coaching to many young riders in Cambria County. Even as she prepares for the multi-day competition, she prioritizes supporting 4-H kids at their district events, highlighting her passion for teaching and community impact. Her participation in the championships not only showcases her personal achievements but also serves as inspiration for local youth to pursue their equestrian goals with dedication.
