The Hampshire County 4-H Program recently held its Awards Recognition Program to honor numerous community supporters and outstanding individuals. The Friends of 4-H Awards recognized key contributors such as the Augusta Ruritan Club for their ongoing support with facilities and event planning, and Senator Darren Thorne for securing grant funding that benefits 4-H shooting sports and horse arena upgrades. Outstanding 4-H Alumni awards were presented to Destiny Bollman and Sarah King, both of whom have remained actively involved in coaching and supporting 4-H equine and livestock programs.
Additionally, Rhonda Park was honored as the Outstanding 4-H Volunteer Leader for her 13 years of dedicated service, including leadership roles in community clubs, camp counseling, and fair activities. Her extensive volunteer work has significantly impacted the youth and the 4-H program in Hampshire County. The event highlighted the vital role of community support and volunteerism in sustaining and enriching local 4-H initiatives.
