Hallie Myhre, a 26-year-old Steamboat Springs native, has dedicated herself to giving back to the community that supported her through a traumatic horse-related accident in high school. Her early involvement in 4H, where she gained confidence and a passion for livestock, especially sheep, shaped her commitment to preserving Routt County’s agricultural heritage. After college, Hallie returned home and became actively involved with the Routt County CattleWomen, taking leadership roles and spearheading fundraising efforts like an all-female ranch rodeo that significantly boosted scholarship funds for local students pursuing agriculture-related education.
Despite being one of the youngest members on various community committees, Hallie embraces her role as a bridge between generations, bringing fresh ideas and energy to longstanding organizations. She recognizes the challenges of living in Steamboat but feels fortunate to contribute to maintaining the town’s close-knit, supportive spirit. Inspired by the overwhelming community support she received during her recovery, Hallie remains committed to ensuring that future generations experience the same sense of belonging and opportunity in Routt County.
