Gressenhall Farm Mourns Loss of Beloved Suffolk Punch Horse Milden Bowler

Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse in Beetley has lost one of its beloved Suffolk Punch horses, Milden Bowler, who arrived at the farm in 2002 and was known for his boundless energy and close companionship with another Suffolk Punch, Trojan. At 24 years old, Bowler was a cherished member of the team, helping to maintain traditional farming practices and engaging visitors with his lively spirit.

Carl Warren, the farm manager, emphasized the importance of community support in preserving the rare Suffolk Punch breed and the traditional agricultural skills they represent. The farm has been using Suffolk Punch horses since 1989 to demonstrate historic farming techniques, aiming to sustain this heritage for future generations.
