Gin Gin Returns to Training with Breezing Work at Palm Beach Meadows

Gin Gin, a 5-year-old mare by Hightail and Grade 1 winner of the 2025 Spinster Stakes, returned to training with a three-furlong breeze in 38.1 seconds at Palm Beach Meadows, marking her first workout since a disappointing 12th-place finish in the Breeders’ Cup Distaff. After a 12th-place finish in the 2024 Kentucky Oaks, Gin Gin had a successful 2023 season with two graded stakes wins before the Breeders’ Cup. Her trainer Brendan Walsh is preparing her for a comeback following this recent workout.

Several other graded stakes winners also worked on Wednesday, including La Cara, a two-time Grade 1 winner, who breezed five furlongs in 1:01.4 at Oaklawn; Nitrogen, a Grade 1 Alabama winner, who worked four furlongs in 49.6 seconds; and Mad House, a Grade 2 winner, who posted the fastest five-furlong work at Tampa Bay Downs in 59 seconds. These workouts highlight ongoing preparations for upcoming graded stakes races across various tracks.
