Germany Extends Nations Cup Winning Streak as USA and Canada Prepare for 2026 Global Dressage Festival

Germany has dominated the Nations Cup at Wellington, Florida, winning the event since 2021 and maintaining a five-year winning streak. The 2026 trans-Atlantic series kicks off with the 15th annual CDIO3* competition, featuring teams from Germany, USA, and Canada competing for $40,000 in prize money. The event includes a Grand Prix on Thursday to determine team placings, followed by a Freestyle under lights on Friday and a Special on Saturday for individual honors.

Each team comprises four riders, including Olympic-level competitors such as Canada’s Camille Carier Bergeron and Brittany Fraser-Beaulieu, Germany’s Frederic Wandres and Michael Klimke, and the USA’s Ashley Holzer and Anna Marek. The USA, which has finished second to Germany for the past five years, aims to break the German winning streak with a strong lineup featuring Holzer, a former Canadian Olympian now riding for the USA. The competition promises high-level dressage performances from some of the sport’s top international riders.
