Top-ranked Georgia equestrian dominated No. 9 UC Davis with a decisive 15-3 victory at the UGA Equestrian Complex. Georgia secured early points in the fences event and maintained strong performances across all disciplines, including a 4-1 win in horsemanship and reining. Notable individual performances included junior Abbey Zawisza’s 77.75 in horsemanship and Cadence Eger’s reining run aboard Jewels. All four Most Outstanding Performer awards went to Georgia riders, highlighting their comprehensive team strength.
Head coach Meghan Boenig praised the team’s focus on refining subtle details to elevate good scores to great ones, emphasizing the importance of momentum and aggressive riding. Looking ahead, Georgia prepares to face Texas Christian on the road, where Boenig acknowledges the challenge of competing in unfamiliar environments but remains confident in the team’s resilience and ability to perform under pressure.
