Future Sport Horses has added two top event mares, Classic Moet and Faerie Dianimo, to its breeding program, aiming to pass on their exceptional qualities to future generations. Both mares, campaigned by New Zealand’s Jonelle Price, had illustrious careers with multiple five-star successes, including wins at Badminton and Luhmühlen, and represented New Zealand at major championships like the World Equestrian Games and the Rio Olympics. Now retired, the mares have transitioned to breeding, with Faerie Dianimo currently pregnant by stallion Future Guilty Pleasure, while breeding plans for Classic Moet are underway.
Julia Hodkin of Future Sport Horses expressed excitement and a sense of responsibility in acquiring these elite mares from breeder Trisha Rickards, emphasizing the importance of maintaining their legacy. The mares have settled well, living together and being well cared for. Hodkin is committed to making careful breeding choices to preserve their star qualities and hopes to continue their impact on the sport through their offspring, ensuring they receive the best possible life and opportunities to influence future generations.
