Fraithwen Farms, run by Ian and Gaynor Garbett in Adfa near Newtown, were invited to film a segment for ITV’s Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh. Ian, a former firefighter and paramedic, now breeds world-class Friesian horses at their farm, with one stallion being approved for breeding with no limit within the Barock Pinto studbook in the Netherlands.

The couple has had much success in the field, with one of their horses winning Best Mare and Overall Champion at an annual inspection of Friesian horses. Ian expressed his enjoyment in working with horses, stating that it has brought him much euphoria compared to his previous career in emergency services.

The Powys horse breeders were invited to Winchester for a filming session with their award-winning stallion Jurre, and later returned with five Friesian horses and rider Gracie Catling. Gracie and Jeb, one of the horses, have achieved great success in competitions, with Jeb being the only Friesian combination selected to represent their country at Young Rider PSG. The episode will air on Sunday at 9:30am on ITV.
