Meghan Laffin’s journey from a suburban New York upbringing to a fulfilling career in dressage exemplifies a passionate pivot from corporate life to equestrian dedication. Initially pursuing business management and a Division I volleyball scholarship, Laffin worked in television production in New York City but felt drawn back to horses, inspired by childhood visits to Pennsylvania’s horse country and the Devon Horse Show. After gaining equestrian experience at Iron Rock dressage in California and earning an MBA, she embraced a career shift by joining Olympic dressage rider Kasey Perry-Glass as a groom and barn manager, where she applies her business acumen and equestrian skills to support elite horses and riders.
Laffin’s role with Perry-Glass has been transformative, allowing her to develop her riding on challenging horses like the Hanoverian mare Stina 2W while learning the intricacies of elite horse care and training. Their relationship is marked by mutual respect and collaboration, with Perry-Glass valuing Laffin’s honesty, organization, and riding talent.
