Four Horses Rescued After Falling Through Ice on Pond in Calhoun County

Four horses were rescued after falling through the ice into a shallow pond at Turtle Creek Golf Course in Calhoun County, Michigan. The Calhoun County Area Law Enforcement Underwater Rescue Team, along with fire crews, responded to the incident Sunday morning and successfully freed the trapped animals.

All four horses were able to walk away from the scene and received treatment and care. Authorities have not yet determined how the horses escaped their enclosure or identified their owner.
