Fort Worth’s Will Rogers Memorial Center Unveils Transformative Renovation Plan

Fort Worth recently celebrated the completion of the third phase of a renovation plan at the Will Rogers Memorial Center, revitalizing livestock barns originally built in 1948. The new additions include a brand-new arena and rejuvenated Sheep and Swine barns, providing more space and amenities for exhibitors during events like the Stock Show.

The renovated barns are not only functional but also versatile, able to host a variety of events beyond livestock competitions, such as banquets, trade shows, and meetings. The updated facilities are also meeting the growing demand from equestrian organizations, adding 320 new stalls and a climate-controlled exercise arena to elevate the experience for competitors and solidify Fort Worth as a national hub for equestrian excellence.

The $40 million project was a collaboration between the Fort Worth Stock Show & rodeo and the City of Fort Worth, with a total investment of $69.24 million in Phases I through III. The final phase of the renovation plan is already in the works, focusing on upgrades to Cattle Barns 3 and 4. The Fort Worth Stock Show & rodeo is set to kick off on January 17, 2025, with over 13,000 youth competitors, $7 million in scholarships and auction receipts, and a global audience of 1.2 million visitors expected.
