Former Prince Andrew Banned from Horseback Riding Amid Police Investigation

Former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been ordered to stop horseback riding near his current residence at Wood Farm to avoid being photographed, following his arrest on February 19 on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Royal aides reportedly consider images of him smiling on horseback “a bad look” amid an ongoing police investigation into allegations that he shared sensitive information with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein during his tenure as the UK’s trade envoy from 2001 to 2011. This restriction ends one of Andrew’s few remaining hobbies after he voluntarily surrendered his gun licence last year.

Previously seen regularly riding around the Windsor estate, Andrew was recently spotted near his former Royal Lodge home before relocating to King Charles’s Sandringham estate, with plans to move into Marsh Farm by early April. The move and lifestyle changes come amid heightened scrutiny and efforts to manage his public image during the investigation.
