Foal Cams Return to Delaware Valley University for 2026 Standardbred Births

The Pennsylvania Horse Racing Association (PHRA) has partnered again with Delaware Valley University (DelVal) to launch the 2026 Foal Cams initiative, streaming live 24/7 footage of three expectant Standardbred mares as they prepare to give birth. This free public program offers a unique educational experience, allowing viewers to witness the birthing process and learn about Pennsylvania’s equine industry. The mares—Thistle Dhu, Ocean Love Potion, and To The Good Life—are all experienced broodmares due to foal in mid-March, with their offspring potentially becoming future stars in Pennsylvania harness racing.

DelVal’s renowned Equine Science and Management Program supports this initiative by providing students hands-on experience with the mares from pre-birth care through the Pennsylvania Standardbred Horse Sale in November. The PHRA, established in 2018 to promote horse racing in Pennsylvania, highlights the industry’s significant economic impact, contributing $1.6 billion to the state economy and supporting over 23,000 jobs. The Foal Cams can be viewed at www.pennhorseracing.com, offering fans and the public an inside look at this vital aspect of the horse racing community.
