The Florida Youth dressage Championships (FYDC) are set to return to the international stage at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala from April 22-26, 2026. Presented by Discover dressage, the event will take place in the iconic Grand Outdoor arena and feature traditional FEI divisions including Pony, Children, Junior, Young Rider, and Under-25 Grand Prix. Riders will compete in Team, Individual, and Freestyle tests, with championship titles awarded in each division as well as an overall champion. Originally founded in Wellington and moved to Ocala in 2022, the revamped championships continue their mission of developing future dressage stars through the FEI youth pathway.
Since its creation in 2013 by U.S. Olympian Lendon Gray and Hampton Green Farm, FYDC has become one of Florida’s largest international youth dressage events, helping launch the careers of many prominent riders who now compete at major championships worldwide. The event provides a vital platform for nurturing young talent and shaping the future of dressage, with founder Kim Van Kampen highlighting the prestige of the venue and the importance of showcasing top youth competitors in such a renowned setting.
