The Florida Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association (FTHA) recently held their annual awards and membership dinner at Gulfstream Park to recognize excellence in the thoroughbred racing industry. The winners included outstanding Florida- and Kentucky-bred horses who performed exceptionally in 2024, along with their talented trainers, owners, and breeders.
Among the winners were horses like Rated by Merit, Win N Your In, R Morning Brew, Real Macho, Grand Mo the First, De Regreso, Comedy Town, Soul of an Angel, Win for the Money, Charlie’s Wish, K.C. Chief, and Batucada. Each horse was recognized in various categories such as 2YO Colt/Gelding, 2YO Filly, 3YO Colt/Gelding, 3YO Filly, Older Horse/Gelding, Older Filly/Mare, Turf Horse/Gelding, Turf Filly/Mare, Older Tapeta Horse/Gelding, and Older Tapeta Filly/Mare.
The FTHA executive director Herb Oster congratulated the winners and expressed gratitude to the trainers, owners, and breeders for their hard work and dedication. The awards ceremony highlighted the achievements of these horses and their contributions to the thoroughbred racing industry at Gulfstream Park.
