Five University of Georgia equestrians have been honored on the National Collegiate Equestrian Association’s Ariat All-America teams. Junior Cadence Eger earned First Team honors in Reining, while Raegan Shepherd was named to the Second Team in the same discipline. Additionally, Abbey Zawisza (Horsemanship), Tessa Downey (Fences), and Ella Duffy (Flat) received honorable mentions for their outstanding performances this season.
Eger leads the Bulldogs in Reining with an 8-5 record and multiple high scores, while Shepherd boasts a 9-3-1 record and was named NCEA Rider of the Month in October. Zawisza, Downey, and Duffy have all achieved career-high scores and multiple Most Outstanding Performer honors in their respective events. The Georgia team, seeded third, will compete in the NCEA National Championship in Ocala, Florida, facing sixth-seeded Oklahoma State in the opening round.
