First-Ever Dogs’ Day Out Event to Unite 12 RSPCA Branches in Lancashire

The first-ever Dogs’ Day Out, a major animal welfare event organized by the RSPCA’s Manchester and Salford Branch along with the Lancashire East Branch, will take place at the Great Harwood Showground in Lancashire. This unique event unites 12 RSPCA branches from across the North West, which collectively rescued and rehomed over 1,600 animals last year. Visitors will have the chance to meet RSPCA officers, learn about their rescue efforts, and engage with staff from the Greater Manchester Animal Hospital.

The event features a fun dog show, agility displays, Guide Dogs demonstrations, and various stalls including food vendors and a charity supermarket marquee. More than 25 organizations, such as the Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team and Lancashire Constabulary’s Rural Crime Taskforce, will participate. Attendees can also explore opportunities to support the RSPCA through fostering, volunteering, or fundraising, and learn about pet food bank schemes. Dog show entries will be accepted on the day.
