Firefighters from the Cuba Fire Protection District rescued two horses that fell through the ice of a snow-covered pond on Monday morning. The crew broke a path in the ice and guided the horses safely back to shore.
After the rescue, the horses were evaluated by a veterinarian and found to be in good condition. They were then taken to a dry barn to recover and are reportedly doing well.
