A 22-year-old horse became stuck in a pond filled with mud and water, about 3 feet deep, on Carbis Moor near St Austell, Cornwall. Firefighters from Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service responded on the morning of January 2nd.
The rescue team cleared vegetation from the pond’s bank and used a winch to safely haul the horse out. After the successful rescue, the horse was handed over to its owner and a veterinarian for care.
