A 22-year-old horse became stuck in a pond filled with mud and water about 3 feet deep on Carbis Moor near St Austell, Cornwall. Firefighters from Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service responded on the morning of January 2nd to rescue the animal.
The rescue team first cleared vegetation from the pond’s bank before using a winch to haul the horse out safely. After the extraction, the horse was handed over to its owner and a veterinarian for care.
