Two horse barns at Silverado Stables, a therapeutic riding center in Frederick County hosting the county’s 4-H therapeutic riding program, were destroyed by a fire over the weekend. Despite the intense blaze that quickly consumed 6,000 bales of hay, six horses managed to escape safely.
Debbie Endlich, associated with the center, described the rapid spread of the fire and expressed confidence that the riding center will recover from this setback. Donations have already begun to support the recovery efforts, while the exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
