Fire Destroys House at Lincoln Park Horse and Human Rehabilitation Centre; Fundraising Appeal Launched

A fire destroyed a house at the Lincoln Park Horse and Human Rehabilitation Centre in Monarto South, causing approximately $300,000 in damage. The Country Fire Service, along with other emergency services, responded to the blaze on Sunday evening. Fortunately, no people or horses were harmed, and two caravans nearby were saved. The centre, which rescues and rehabilitates neglected horses and provides equine therapy, is now assessing the damage and planning to rebuild. An online fundraising appeal has been launched to support the owners, Lincoln and Sonya Little, in restoring their home and continuing their work.

In a separate incident, police caught a 23-year-old man driving at 164 km/h in a 110 km/h zone near Murray Bridge. The driver was fined and had his vehicle impounded for 28 days, facing penalties that include a $1997 fine and nine demerit points for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45 km/h.
