Fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea and Bridgwater were called early on June 30th to rescue a horse stuck in a mud and water-filled ditch near Highbridge. The incident occurred around 5:07 am in East Huntspill.

Using a telehandler, an agricultural lifting machine, the teams successfully freed the horse. The Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the horse was uninjured following the rescue.
