USA’s Fiona Howard and her mare Vianne set new Para dressage Grade II world records across all three tests during the Adequan Global dressage Festival (AGDF) in Wellington, Florida. Just days before the CPEDI event, Howard, a 27-year-old rider and 2024 Paris Paralympics triple gold medalist, took over from Kate Shoemaker’s Paralympic bronze medallist Vianne and delivered record-breaking scores: 78.85% in the Para Grand Prix A Test, 80.444% in the Grand Prix B Test, and an 84.934% in the Grade II Freestyle, earning perfect 10s for the stretching walk half circle and winning the freestyle by over 18 percentage points.
Their outstanding performances led the all-female US Para dressage Team to a gold medal with a team total of 446.238 points. This remarkable achievement was made even more impressive considering it was the debut competition for the horse and rider combination, and that Howard had recently recovered from a seven-week hospital stay following kidney surgery in December 2025.
