Breeders’ Cup Limited has announced that the final deadline to nominate foals born in 2025 to the Breeders’ Cup program at the discounted one-time fee of $400 is Wednesday, October 15 at 11:59 p.m. ET. This nomination grants lifetime eligibility for the foals to participate in the prestigious Breeders’ Cup World Championships and related racing programs. Foals sired by fully nominated North American Breeders’ Cup stallions qualify for this weanling nomination rate, which increases to $1,500 from October 16 through February 28.
The Breeders’ Cup is a premier international Thoroughbred racing festival with over $1 billion awarded in purses and incentives to owners, breeders, and stallion nominators over its 40+ year history. Foal nominators receive $10,000 for each victory in the global Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series and additional awards for every horse starting in a Breeders’ Cup Championship race, regardless of ownership changes.
