Fall Graded Stakes Highlight Churchill Downs, Woodbine, and Aqueduct Weekend Races

The fall racing season continues with a strong slate of graded stakes across three major tracks this weekend, highlighted by the Grade 3 Chilukki Stakes at Churchill Downs. Ragtime, a consistent 3-year-old filly trained by Bill Mott, is a key contender in the Chilukki after placing in several graded races including a close second in the Grade 1 Test Stakes at Saratoga and a recent third in Keeneland’s Raven Run. Other notable races include the Claiming Crown Jewel at Churchill Downs featuring Double Your Money, who recently posted strong Beyer Speed Figures, and the Grade 3 Jockey Club Oaks at Aqueduct, where Laurelin, a five-time winner, aims to rebound after a narrow defeat in the Queen Elizabeth II Cup.

At Woodbine, the Grade 2 Kennedy Road Stakes showcases Simcoe, an Ontario-bred colt with five wins in six starts, including back-to-back Grade 3 victories. The weekend concludes Sunday with the Grade 3 Pebbles Stakes at Aqueduct, spotlighting Fast Market, a filly who recently finished a close second in the Sands Point Stakes. This weekend’s races offer a blend of emerging stars and seasoned competitors, providing exciting opportunities for horseplayers nationwide.
