Governor Dodge State Park in Southwest Wisconsin offers 5,350 acres of rolling hills, sandstone cliffs, and deep valleys with over 40 miles of trails for hiking, horseback riding, and biking. The park features two man-made lakes for swimming, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing, as well as family, group, and equestrian campgrounds for a premier camping experience.
The Cox Hollow and Twin Valley campgrounds at Governor Dodge State Park offer a total of 269 standard campsites, with 80 sites having electrical hookups. Both campgrounds have showers, trailer dumping stations, and playgrounds. The equestrian campground has 20 campsites, 18 with electric hook-ups, and provides amenities such as high-line hitching posts, picnic tables, fire rings, and horse washing stations.
In addition to the regular and equestrian campgrounds, Governor Dodge State Park also offers group campsites, backpack campsites, and accessible campsites for campers with disabilities. The group campsites can accommodate 15 to 40 people, while the backpack campsites are located about 0.5 miles from the parking lot. Accessible campsites with electricity, paved driveways, and separate toilet/shower facilities are available in both Cox Hollow and Twin Valley campgrounds.
