Belgian dressage performances in Mechelen impressed the home crowd, with Justin Verboomen and Zonik Plus delivering a standout performance in just their second international Grand Prix, ultimately scoring 81.730% in the Freestyle for second place. Belgian Olympian Domien Michiels and Larissa Pauluis also showcased strong performances, with Pauluis securing third place with Flambeau.

Looking ahead, Van Liere is now fourth in the World Cup standings after her Mechelen victory and is considering which horse to take to the Finals. The next leg of the FEI dressage World Cup is scheduled for Basel on January 9-12, 2025.
