Excitement Builds for the 2025 Corning Jr. Rodeo with New Contestants and Events

The Corning Jr. rodeo is set to kick off with a series of events, including the rodeo Queen Contest on May 29, where five young cowgirls will compete for the title of Senior Queen and two for the Junior Queen. The following evening, the Hospitality Mixer will feature various activities such as the Little Miss rodeo Pageant, Stick Horse Races, and Goat Undecorating, culminating in the main rodeo event on May 31 at Estil Clark Park.

Contestants for the Senior Queen title include Brooklyn Jean Ross, Cadence Alexander, Tessa French, Maddisyn Garwood, and Hailey Scharer, each bringing unique backgrounds and aspirations. The Junior Queen contestants, Ellie Sue Wammack and Blake Mason, are also eager to showcase their skills and passion for rodeo. Each participant expresses a desire to represent the community and promote the sport.

Kathy Lowe, the competition chairwoman, praised the contestants for their dedication and ticket sales, while last year’s queen, Paige Alexander, shared her positive experience and encouragement for this year’s participants. The event promises to highlight the hard work and sportsmanship inherent in rodeo culture.
