Erin Nichols and her 17-year-old Dutch-bred gelding Elian Royale achieved a significant victory at the Global dressage Festival CDI3* Grand Prix Special in Wellington, Florida, scoring 70.617%. This win marked their first double victory in over two years, having also won the Grand Prix earlier in the week. Nichols was the only competitor among 13 to score above 70%, showcasing a strong performance.
Following Nichols, Jordan LaPlaca and Gold Play, an 11-year-old Oldenburg gelding, placed second with 69.894%, earning a spot on the U.S. team for the upcoming Nations Cup. Endel Ots and Zen Elite’s Bohemian, a 16-year-old gelding with Olympic experience, finished third with 68.596%.
