Equestrian Xmas Parade in Rancho Celebrates Community and Tradition

For over fifty years, the annual Equestrian Christmas Parade in the Burbank Rancho area has celebrated community spirit, tradition, and generosity by bringing together riders from Burbank, Glendale, and Los Angeles for a festive procession. Held on December 22, this year’s event featured a variety of horses and miniature horses adorned in holiday attire, all raising funds for the Burbank Temporary Aid Center (BTAC) and Home Again Los Angeles (HALA). The parade, supported by local groups like Equestrian Trails Incorporated Corral 38 and coordinated by organizer Liz Radley, highlights the collaborative spirit and strong Western heritage of the Ranchos communities.

The event also emphasizes community involvement and safety, with the Burbank Police Department assisting in traffic control to ensure a smooth ride. Former Burbank Mayor Emily Gabel-Luddy praised the parade’s role in uniting neighbors to support those in need, underscoring the importance of working together year-round. The Burbank, Glendale, and Los Angeles Ranchos continue to preserve their unique equestrian culture and historic trails, serving as a living testament to the area’s resilient community and dedication to preserving its heritage.
