Equestrian Anush Agarwalla has retired his Paris 2024 Olympic horse, Sir Caramello Old, who played a pivotal role in securing India’s first-ever individual dressage qualification for the Olympics by meeting the Minimum Eligibility Requirement. Sir Caramello and Agarwalla last competed together in September 2023 at the Hagen a. T. W. At the 2023 Asian Games, Agarwalla competed with a different horse, Etro, winning a bronze in individual dressage and a gold in the team event. Etro, aged 11, is now Agarwalla’s primary mount, with their recent partnership including a Grand Prix event in Belgium. The retirement of Sir Caramello marks the end of a significant chapter in Agarwalla’s career, opening the way for new journeys with Etro.
