Equestfest, held on December 29, 2025, at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center in Burbank, provided audiences with a preview of the equestrian units set to perform in the 2026 Rose Parade. The event showcased a diverse array of horse breeds and talents through performances by 17 equestrian units, including drills, dances, and tricks. Notable participants included the 1st Cavalry Division Horse Cavalry Detachment, Budweiser Clydesdales, Los Angeles Police Department Mounted Platoon, and the historic Valley Hunt Club, among others.
Equestrian displays have been a longstanding tradition of the Rose Parade, dating back to its first event in 1890, sponsored by the Valley Hunt Club. This club continues to honor its heritage by decorating a carriage each year to carry its president and family during the parade. Equestfest serves as both a celebration and a preview, highlighting the rich equestrian culture integral to the Rose Parade experience.
